Friendly neighborhood bar. This was our first time and I felt welcomed. Rene was great. Wasn't sure what to order so I went with the Detroit style pizza, based on other yelp reviews. There's only one size and had no idea it was $6 on Monday's. Plenty for 2 people for lunch. The pizza was good, a little too much Parmesan for my taste, but didn't stop me from eating it. The bill was only $30, 2 Bloody Mary's, 2 beers, 2 cocktails and the pizza. Looking forward to next time.
Their Monday night eat in pizza is epic! Don't drink but to go price is almost double the eat in price. Too much smoke for me. Staff, service and food Excellent!
Not only do they have the best pizza in town but today I had one of the best soups ever. Vichyssoise, it's cold and a little weird BUT one of the best versions I've ever had. The person who made it should be proud! It's world class!!! I'm mad that I didn't get 2 bowls to go Well done
Pizza was good with burnt cheese crust. I was taken care of the minute I walked inside.. The bar reminded me of a working man's bar.. Overall a nice place.
Built in 1874 and originating as a bar, restaurant, and hotel for the rail workers, the building has been renovated on the outside, remodeled on the inside and seen many new additions. It has darts, outdoor space and good bar food.
This is a very fun bar that caters to lots of different people, in my opinion. Theres bar stools all around the very long bartop that usually hosts the regulars. Then theres booths great for eating at, a dj and dancefloor, and a section kind of in the back with more tables a little bit away from the music to have a more intimate outting. The ony downside is as busy as they are they only seem to schedule one bartender and one ID checker when there should be at least 3 bartenders if not more, because the place can get packed fast! They also play good throwback music, I'd say thats my favorite part of the whole place.
Great specials and a Valpo tradition. Always stop in got Wings when I'm in town. Great for Tall drafts with prices similar to what they were 15 years ago! Games and Darts in the back by the bathrooms. Love this place
